Please follow these Pre-Treatment Guidlines

• Remove ALL traces of mascara and eye make-up BEFORE you arrive

• Do not wear contact lenses

• Do not have any spray tans less than 24 hours prior to this treatment

• Do not apply tints less then 24 prior to your appointment

 

 

Upon arrival we will have a consultation about the look you would like to achieve (nb-the length of your natural lash will dictate how long it is possible to go). 

The procedure is very relaxing-many of my clients take it as a great opportunity to have a cheeky nap!  As you lie back and relax, your lashes are cleaned, ensuring no oil-residue or dust remains on them, in order to achieve the best possible bond with the new lashes.  Your lower lashes will then be taped down, in order to keep them out of the way during the procedure.  Using specially designed tweezers, I will then begin the procedure by isolating your natural eyelashes one by one, gently applying the synthetic lash on top, using a special grade black glue.  The eyelash extension sits only on your natural lash and does not touch your skin, allowing your lashes to grow naturally.  The whole procedure lasts approx 2  hours.

Just like our hair, our eyelashes also have a natural cycle, falling out and replenishing themselves regularly. Most eyelashes have on average a 90 day growth cycle, which means you'll lose approx 2-5 lashes per day.  As a result, in order to keep your lashes looking full and fabulous, top ups are required every 2-3 weeks (providing you look after them well).

 

 

Post Treatment Maintenance:

 

The first 24-48 hours are crucial to the bonding procedure and aftercare advice should be taken, in order to get the most out of your lovely new eyelash extensions.

​

• No water should come into contact with your eyelashes for 24 hours

• For 48 hours after treatment do not steam your face, use a steam bath, swim or wash face with hot water

• Do not apply mascara to your lash extensions

• If you choose to wear mascara on the bottom lashes, ensure it is water based

• Do not use an eyelash curler or perm lashes

• Do not rub lashes when washing your face-always pat dry after cleansing

• Do not pull your lashes

• If you wear eye make-up, use powder based, non oily products

• Remove make-up using an oil free make-up remover

• Remember emollients, creams and oils are the eyelash bonding agents worst enemy.  Use eye creams sparingly near the lashes.
